Please note type of construction on drawing based on the 2016 California Building Code Chapters 5 and 6.Occupancies storing, handling, using, and/or selling hazardous materials, liquids, and chemicals shall submit a list of all said materials, listing their quantities and how they relate to specific California Building Code Table items. Note on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of hazardous material in each control area and fire-resistive rating for fire barriers.When there has been a change in use or occupancy classifications, drawings shall show compliance with the CBC requirements for the new classifications. The City official records refer to occupancy group “B” for this building. Seems like, the occupancy group for this building is changed without proper permit for change of occupancy. Please provide complete plans and justify the new use, and how this new use meets the requirements of California Building Code 2016.Exiting from any occupied point in a building or structure on the subject site must be continuous, unobstructed, and undiminished to a public way. This includes gates which must show compliance with CDB Section 1010. Provide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for: - Storage racks over 8’ high - New mechanical equipment on roof (note on Roof Framing Plan weight of each existing and new piece of equipment on the roof) - New equipment screening on roofCalculations must be presented in a clear, legible, and organized manner conducive for structural plan review. A table of contents must be provided and pages must be numbered for referencing purposes. Resubmit revised calculations showing compliance.Steel storage racks and their anchorage, where the importance factor is equal to 1.5 inaccordance with ASCE 7-10.Periodic special inspection is required during the anchorage of access floors and storage racks 8’ or greater in height in structures assigned to Seismic Design Category D.Note on the drawings locations and inscriptions of 50 square inch minimum size permanent plaques installed in conspicuous locations, showing the maximum permissible unit load in clear, legible print.The bottom of all posts shall be furnished with bearing plates. Drive-in, drive-through, and stacker racks shall be anchored to the floor by anchor bolts capable of resisting the horizontal shear forces caused by the horizontal and vertical loads on the rack.
