Please remove electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing drawings.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (714-647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (714-573-6126)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (714-647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (714-647-5039)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance
Hand marked drawings are not acceptable, submit original drawings singed and stamped by engineer. All drawings, calculations and supporting documents to be signed and stamped by California licensed engineer/architect.
Show on the drawings if solar panels to be installed on roof of existing Multi-family roof or garage/carport and show compliance with followings:
All new construction, interior or exterior alterations, repairs, or additions requiring a permit and having a valuation in excess of $1,000, or when one or more sleeping rooms are added or created, the entire dwelling shall be provided with smoke detectors located as required for a new dwelling.
All new construction, Interior or exterior alterations, repairs, or additions requiring a permit and having a valuation in excess of $1,000,, an approved carbon monoxide alarm shall be installed in dwelling units and in sleeping units within which fuel-burning appliances are installed and in dwelling units that have attached garages shall be provided with carbon monoxide alarms
Provide actual dimensioned roof plan and solar panels and show required set back in compliance with Section 3111.2.3 of 2016 CBC (copy attached).
Submit calculations in compliance with Section 3111.2.3 of 2016 CBC (copy attached) for required pathways.
Provide actual dimensioned roof framing plan including, size and span of exiting roof framing (2x8, 16”o.c). Size and span must be shown of actual roof framing plan and subject to field inspection by City inspector.
Attachment of solar panels at 30 degree does not match calculations. Reference structural calculations Sheet 4, submit missing calculations and revise calculations to match 30 degree angle of solar panels as shown on the drawings.
Reference Sheet 5 of structural calculations, add the missing weight of PV Module on Panel Data and revise calculations.
Submit calculation for design and justification of 3/8” lag screws for uplift of solar panels. Clarify the number and location of lag screws on Sheet SE-1 for each panel.
Calculations and drawings to be signed and stamped by California licensed architect or California licensed civil engineer.
Clarify on the drawings if water tank and solar panels are existing and to be replaced. Additional plan check comments to follow. As built drawings to show foundation and attachment is required.
Indicate ICC approved water sealant for roof penetration of lag bolts.
