If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance\Specify the occupancy group of the warehouse.( please specify what is being stored).Provide the proper occupancy group for all occupancies in the building on the first sheet of plans.Provide an allowable area analysis for the building due to change of occupancy.Provide an occupant load analysis.It appears that two exits are required from the retail space; the two exits need to be separated by 1/3 of the diagonal of the area served.( Exits as shown are not separated by 1/3 of the diagonal of the area served)Please note that the second exit can not be going through the ware house.Provide a fixture count to show compliance with the mechanical code.All areas with an occupant load greater than 50 must have exit doors swing in the direction of exit travel.( make sure all doors including those serving the warehouse swing in direction of travel if serving more than 50 occupants.The wall legend shown on sheet A 2.0 is drawn at a different scale than the plans and hence it is difficult to identify which wall is which.. Please provide a legend that could be easily recognized.( Provide a wall legend that is identifiable)Specify the size and gauge of all metal studs on the applicable details.Provide an ESR number for the metal studs that are proposed to be used.Show the height of the structure above the partition on detail 7: the effect of buckling should be taken into consideration for the wall bracing when the members are long.(The compression strut shown to support the ceiling shown on detail 7 on SD1 and detail B on A4 will not withstand buckling at such a height).Clarify the compression strut detail shown on the suspended ceiling. Please note the compression strut should extend all the way to the structure above, for long compression strut, the member need to be large enough to withstand buckling.Detail B on A4; it is not clear if the compression strut terminate at the structure above, please clarify.Doors in the 1 hour occupancy separation need to be 1-hr rated..Provide proper details for all penetrations into the rated walls including electrical boxes.Show the roof mechanical equipment enclosure that is shown in the calculations on the plans.
