For item # 6, please clearly show which parking space meets the requirements of “van accessible parking stall”. See red marks on sheet AS101. The recheck of item # 6 can be done over the counter. Please call 714-647-5862, and set up an AM appointment for over the counter recheck. Or resubmit the drawings for a recheck. A recheck of your drawings was completed this morning, 01-29-2019; and the following items from the first plan check are not done/ completed at this time. See the list below for item # 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 14, & 15. Please see the comments/ more information in the body of the list below. APPLICABLE CODE: 2016 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTS All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide the following: - Provide a fully dimensioned site plan on each set of plans. - Disabled access compliance must be shown on the site plan. The accessible parking stalls shown for this building do not comply with CBC Sections: 11B-208, & 11B-502. Also, show an accessible route from the accessible parking space to the accessible entry door to this space.Exiting from any occupied point in a building or structure on the subject site must be continuous, unobstructed, and undiminished to a public way. This includes gates which must show compliance with CDB Section 1010. Revise drawings to show compliance.The door between the “design center” room and the reception area serve more than 10 occupants therefore, it does not comply with CBC Section 1010.1.2 as a slider door.Note on drawing: “Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.”Hand-activated door opening hardware shall be centered between 34” and 44” above the floor. Latching and locking doors that are hand activated and which are in a path of travel shall be operable with a single effort by lever-type hardware, by panic bars, push-pull activating bars, or other hardware designed to provide passage without requiring the ability to grasp the opening hardware.CBC Section 1008.2.1, Requires means of egress from all occupied parts of the building be provided with at least 1’ candle of light at floor level. Show compliance on the drawings.For this item, please add a note on the architectural drawings to read: the means of egress will be provided with at least 1’ candle of light at the floor level.Tactile exit signs shall be required at the following locations: - Each grade-level exterior exit door shall be identified by a tactile exit with the word “EXIT.” - Each exit door that leads directly to a grade-level exterior exit by means of an exit enclosure, or an exit passageway, shall be identified by a tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE.” - Each exit access door from an interior room or area to a corridor or hallway, which is required to have a visual exit sign, shall be identified by a tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE.”If a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide, complying with the CBC Section 11B-247.Please show the exit doors from this space on the site plan and show compliance with CBC Section 11B-247 on the drawings for these exit doors.Provide parking data on the site plan showing the total number of parking spaces provided, the number of disabled accessible spaces and the number of van accessible spaces, showing compliance with CBC Section 11B-208 and CBC Table 11B-208.2.Provide completely dimensioned floor plans, elevations and sections of sanitary facility insuring wheelchair clearances complying with CBC Section 11B-604 and the California Plumbing Code.Also, see red marks on sheet A102 of drawings.Please see the red marks on details 3/A100, 8/A102, & 10/A102.Ensure sanitary facilities comply with CBC Section 11B-604 and that the bottom of the mirror is no higher than 40” from the floor.This item is not completed at this time.Glass and glazing shall be in accordance with CBC Chapter 24. Note on the drawings all windows and doors having glazing. Indicate the type and thickness of each light of glazing on the drawings.
