A review of your drawing was completed today, 08/05/2019; and item # 4 is not done at this time.
For item # 6, calculation submitted calls for “HDU2” at each end of the proposed 600 pond Heat pump. However, the drawing does not clearly show how to install this “HDU2” and what does this connect to.
Revise detail: 1/S-2 TO CLEARLY SHOW PROPOER CONNECTION OF THIS HARDWARE TO TRANSFER THE LOADS FROM THE HEAT PUMP TO ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS.

CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSResubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for:
- New mechanical equipment on roof (note on Roof Framing Plan weight of each existing and new piece of
equipment on the roof)
- New equipment screening on roof if it is required by Planning Division,
- Provide calculation for the lateral loads of the new HVAC and provide construction details to show how this unit will be secured to the roof framing to resist these loads.
