A recheck of your drawings was completed this morning, 10-16-2019; and they are approved for building permit issuance subject to approval listed under item #4 from the list below.
The approved drawings are placed at the plan check counter for your convenience.
APPLICABLE CODE: 2016 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSResubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5862 for an appointment.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance
Provide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for: 5500 # Ice Bear” unit to be placed on the existing roof. The calculation shall clearly show if existing framing members under this unit are adequate to resist all the vertical and lateral loads or provide additional reinforcement to be resist these loads.
The drawings shall clearly show framing members under this 5500 # “Ice Bear” units and the VERTICAL AND LATERAL LOADS distribution from this unit to existing roof framing members. Seems like some of the existing 2 X 4 @ 24” O.C. under this Ice Bear unit needs to be reinforced to safely carry the new loads.
