All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5848 for an appointment.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)The floor plan shown on the architectural drawings is different than what is shown on the electrical plan.Dimension the existing bathrooms to show that they comply with the accessibility requirements. The layout shown for the standard bathroom differ from the existing bathrooms.Clarify if the wall where the proposed opening is to be made is a bearing wall. If so provide the propr header.The job description on the application calls for a security wall at the entrance; please clarify if such a wall is to be installed.The cooler plans should be on structural/architectural package. Provide the cooler approval number , UL, ICC etc and show method of attaching the walls to the floor and to the ceiling if applicable. Show distance between the ceiling of the space to the ceiling of the cooler.’The entrance to the cooler need to comply with the accessibility requirements, the door must have a min 32” clear with the door open, the hardware need to have lever type with a maximum force to open of 5 lbs.Provide a section showing the size and guage of the metal studs of the wall and the ceiling of the cooler unless the cooler has an ICC approval or equal.All new work should be shown on plans; it seems the door between the two spaces is new and planning should provide input if this acceptable.Exit doors to be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. Clarify if there is a threshold at the cooler unit door. Please note that the maximum height of the threshold is ¾ inches and the maximum lip is ½ inch.Specify the height of the storage rack that are now shown on this version of the plans.Specify the use of all rooms on the floor plan.It seems every time there is a new submittal, there is a change in the floor plan Identify all news walls, doors windows on the proposed floor plan.See mark-ups on plans, submit the marked up plan with the recheck set.Is the cooler new or existing? It is shown as existing on the plans.I am not sure what the details on sheet A3.2 are for.There is no exemption for private restroom from compliance with the accessibility requirements. The restroom serving the manufacturing area need to comply.Please follow the code to show proper signage for all gender bathroom
