- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
Ballasted PV Systems:
Provide analysis of the uplift of an individual ballast, using the design wind pressure on effective wind area corresponding to the tributary area to that ballast.
Provide analysis of the sliding of the entire array, using the design wind pressure on the effective wind area of the entire array, or separate part of the array that is interconnected such that the modules slide together.
Provide Electrical connections and wiring in a ballasted system that is designed to accommodate movements within the system.
Provide adequate clearance between rows of solar arrays to avoid collision between arrays.
The coefficient of friction should be determined by experimental tests conforming to ASTM G115, Standard Guide for Measuring and Reporting Friction Coefficients.
According to the statement, the Vector Engineers is not responsible for ballasted PV system design. The ballasted structural design package, structural calculation and plans,including sheet S1.0 and S1.1, shall be reviewed, approved, stamped, signed and dated by the structural engineer of record, licensed in the State of California.
