If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit corrected 3sets of plans.

If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.In addition to the 2019 California Building Code, this project is subject to the provisions of the 2019 California Historical Building Code.Final plan shall be signed and dated by the person who is responsible for the preparing the plans. Sheet A-1: Please verify and confirm whether the existing building is equipped with Automatic Fire-Sprinkler or not. For clarity, please referenced the permit number in which the accessible items were permitted. On the plan, please list/provide the applicable code for the proposed T.I. (2019 California Building Code; California Historical Building Code; California Mechanical Code; California Electrical Code; California Plumbing Code; California Energy Code). Building Data: Please specify floor area of the basement and mezzanine. Sheet A-2: Please relabel the travel distance as “Exit Access Travel Distance”; showed as “Common Path of Travel” was inaccurate. There were basement and mezzanine in the existing building. Please provide floor plan of the basement and mezzanine and specify the use of space of each location. Show maximum travel distance from the most remoted area of the basement and mezzanine to the exit doors. Exit door EX3: Please provide/show minimum 48” level landing on the top of the steps/stair. Please provide/show handrails on both sides of the stairway / steps. Provide details. Please provide contrasting stripe at the existing steps, complying with Section 11B-504.4.1. Please provide directional signs to provide direction to the accessible exit doors. (11B-216.4.3)Exit doors: On the plan, please provide door hardware specification.
Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground.
The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum.
Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. On the plan, please show location of accessible check-out aisles/stations. Where more than one check-out aisle is provided, check-out aisles complying with Section 11B-904.3 shall be identified by a sign complying with Section 11B-904.3.4. (11B-216.11)Provide detail for the cashier stations to show compliance with Section 11B-227 and 11B-904. Racks: Please specify maximum height of racks. Structural anchorage details area required for the fixed racks higher than 5’-9”. (End of Comment)
