If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections, if it was picked up. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Additional fees are required for the carport structures. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Sheet T101:Project Scope: For clarity, please indicate on the plan that the carport structures are part of this permit application. Please specify the square footage of the proposed carport structures. All handwritten notes (Site Contact info) shall be incorporated into the electronic file prior to reprinting. On the plan, please provide engineers’ contact information on the plan. Sheet A101:Roof Array 3: Please clarify roof array 3 is supported by a building or carport type structure. Please show building outline and dimensions and fire access. Please show distance setback between carport structures and adjacent buildings. The fire access shall be clear with no obstruction, such as roof top equipment, vents, etc. Sheet A102:The driveway separating the carport and the adjacent building shall be minimum 25-ft. Please list the total number of parking stalls located under the carport. Sheet A103:Please provide enlarged unirac Ballast layout plans to show building roof plan with the Unirac installation layout. Sheet A105: Please clarify whether parapets are provided at the perimeter walls of the building. Structural comments:Please provide structural support and details for the array 3 (See Sheet A101 comment). Sheet S1 through S4: Please remove statement indicating “These drawing/calculations are considered preliminary – Not for construction”Sheet S2 and S3: Drilled pier Depth: Asphalt surface should not be used for any constrain for footing design. Please revise calculation and footing schedule to eliminate the asphalt area depth option. Detail A1 & B1: Please provide calculation for the minimum (required) embedment of the steel column into the concrete pier footing. The required steel column embedment shall be extended below the cold joist line. Longitutional rebar – Please extend the longitudinal rebar to the top of the concrete pier with the minimum concrete cover. Please provide transverse reinforcement (tie) for the concrete pier footing. Detail A2 and B2: Provide calculation for the minimum (required) embedment of the steel column into the concrete spread footing.
