Existing Building Summary: Type of Construction – Please specify type V-B. Sheet Index: Sheet A4.3 was not provided. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. On the plan, please specify occupancy groups. Please provide an accessibility upgrade summary showing the cost of the accessibility upgrade is at least 20% of the adjusted construction cost of the alteration. (11B-202.4)Sheet A1.1:Accessible parking stalls: Please provide enlarged plan for the restriped accessible parking stall area to show complete parking dimensions. Provide accessible parking signage and marking. On the plan, please clearly show location of curb ramp and detectable warning. Existing truncated dome located between the parking lot and the driveway (near the accessible parking spaces) should be removed, since it would give fault warming. Accessible path of travel: Please specify on plan 5% maximum measured in the direction of travel, and 2% maximum cross-slope. Sheet A2.1Please provide detail to show attachment of new storefront to existing opening frames. Automatic and power-assisted doors shall comply with Section 11B-404.3. Sheet A4.1:Detail 4/A4.1: Please coordinate with structural details on sheet S-4 for wood beams and blocks sizes. Sheet S-4: New 4x6 wood column exposure to weather and supported by the concrete slab shall be pressured treated wood. New 8x12 header and its supported columns: Please provide details to show how the new 8x12 beam and its support are supported for out-of-plane loads. Please provide detail for the 5’-6” parapet extension over the main entrance. Structural CalculationCode – Please remove the LABC 2017, since City of Santa Ana did not adopt the LABC code. Wind analysis: Please wind analysis to comply with the ASCE7-16 Standard. Wind pressure on parapet walls shall comply with Section 27.5.2. It’s 2.25 times the wall pressures. Canopy wind loads shall comply with Section 27.5.3. Existing freestanding structures supporting new solid metal siding – Please provide wind analysis to justify the existing freestanding structures are sufficient to support the new solid screening/siding. State all assumptions. Please use wind design provision under the ASCE7-16 Standard.
