General Requirement:
All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.

Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawing (647-5839 or 647-5700)Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSheet A-1:Please provide pedestrian (man) gate at the proposed 29-ft swing gates for exit discharge access to a public way. (1028.5 CBC)A minimum 36” wide pedestrian (man) gate is required. Gate shall be swing outward. A minimum 5-ft reset from the property line maybe required so that the door landing (swing) will not encroach into the public way. Door/Gate operation shall comply with the following:
Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground.
The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum. Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist.Gate surface within 10 inches of the finish floor or ground measured vertically shall have a smooth surface on the push side and extend the full width of gate. Sheet A-2: Provide gate information as required above on the plan. Structural footing supporting fence: Asphalt concrete (AC) finish cannot consider as structural restraint for the post. Please revise detail to specify “…where restraint is provided at the ground surface such as concrete pavement. For asphalt (AC) and unpaved conditions use…”.Structural calculation:Two (2) copies of structural calculation packages are required for final review and approval.
