Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSubmit a signed copy of the contract showing labor and materials for all work to be done under the subject building permit application. The plan check engineer may accept the contract price as the valuation of improvements for unique/unusual projects in lieu of using a cost per square foot basis.Show on the plans: - Occupancy Classification(s) - Type of Construction - Fire Sprinkler System (State purpose of sprinkler system, for example, area increase under CBC Section 506.3, required by CBC Section 903 for type of occupancy, etc.)Fireblocking. In combustible construction, fireblocking shall be installed to cut off concealed draft openings (both vertical and horizontal) and shall form an effective barrier between floors, between a top story and a roof or attic space. Fireblocking shall be installed in the locations specified in CBC Sections 718.Complete all soffit and furred out wall details. Provide complete detailing, including number, type, location of fasteners and how attachment is made to the building structure. Show height of the soffit and provide bracing for lateral support.Provide complying exiting plan for the entire area. EXIT ACCESS. That portion of a means of egress system that leads from any occupied portion of a building or structure to an exit. CBC Sections 1016.Egress shall not pass through kitchens, storage rooms, closets or spaces used for similar purposes.CBC Section 1007.1.1, Two exits or exit access doorways. Where two exits or exit access doorways are required from any portion of the exit access, the exit doors or exit access doorways shall be placed a distance apart equal to not less than one-half of the length of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area to be served measured in a straight line between exit doors or exit access doorways. The floor or landing shall be not more than ½” lower than the threshold of the doorway. Change in level between ¼” and ½” shall be beveled with a slope no greater than 1:2. Change in level greater than ½” shall be accomplished by means of a ramp. Provide detailed sections and plan views showing compliance at all doorways requiring accessibility. (For new exterior door)CBC Section 11B-405.7 Size of top and bottom landings. Top landings shall be not less than 60” wide and shall have a length of not less than 60” in the direction of ramp run. Landings at the bottom of ramps shall have a dimension in the direction of ramp run of not less than 72”.Provide minimum 12” clearance to the strike edge of door # 10 and 18” clearance to door # 14.Provided path of travel doesn’t comply with CBC 11B, please revise it to comply.It is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 11B-202.4: - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsIf a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide, complying with the CBC Section 11B-247.1.2.5Ensure sanitary facilities comply with CBC Section 11B-603.3 and that the bottom of the mirror is no higher than 40” from the floor.Existing accessible parking on detail 4/ AD-2 doesn’t match site plan.Complete the attached Disabled Accessibility Documentation Form.Provide on the drawings a complete window schedule showing: - Type and thickness of glazing (type of safety glazing for hazardous locations noted under CBC Section 2406.3Please revisit door schedule and provide information to match floor plan.This building is subject to the State of California Energy Conservation Regulations: - The permit applicant shall be responsible for obtaining an energy plan check from a consultant who is qualified to perform an energy efficiency analysis in accordance with the California Code of Regulations (CCR,) Title 24, 2019 California Energy Code. The plan check consultant must sign documentation certifying that a thorough, competent review has been performed on behalf of the Enforcement Agency. - The corrected/final ARCHITECTURAL drawings shall have the required energy efficiency compliance documentation with completed signature blocks filed on the plans. The same information may be copied on the Electrical Plans for the Electrical Plan Checker. - The energy plan check consultant must complete the attached “Energy Conservation Plan Check Consultant Qualification Statement.”Note ICC Research Report Number on the drawings for the suspended ceiling system. (ICC Report Number 1308)Provide attachment detail for t-barceiling to the structure above.Provide engineering calculation with detail and complete framing plan for gypsum board ceiling.Provide weight of the existing units and new units.Provide engineering calculation and attachment detail for the new RTU.Provide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for: - New opening(s) in bearing wall(s) and store front ( exterior opening) - New mechanical equipment on roof (note on Roof Framing Plan weight of each existing and new piece of equipment on the roof)Provide ICC report and span table for ceiling joists and metal studs.
