All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.Note on plan: This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)Calculations: Calculation shall be complied with the 2019 CBC and ASCE7-16. Please update calculation. On the plan, please use Important Factor, Ie of 1.5. Revise calculation and plan accordingly. . CBC Section 1705.12.7, Storage racks: Periodic special inspection is required during the anchorage of storage racks 8’ or greater in height in structures assigned to Seismic Design Category D.Note on the drawings locations and inscriptions of 50 square inch minimum size permanent plaques installed in conspicuous locations, showing the maximum permissible unit load in clear, legible print.Lower portions of posts exposed to damage by forklift trucks or other moving equipment shall have protective devices. If not so protected, at the option of the building official, the rack structure may: (1) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at allowable stresses with the exposed post capacity reduced by one-half or (2) be designed to maintain its full design load capacity at 50 percent increased allowable stresses with the exposed post assumed to have no carrying capacity.Plan sheet 1.0: Please revise notes and governing codes and standards to show the most current code edition. Racking plan view: A 44” minimum access aisle is required between storage racks, and 36” minimum between racks and wall. On plan, please provide details to show connection of horizontal shelf members connect to vertical columns. Please provide member properties cross-sections on the plan. On the plan, please specify baseplate size and thickness. Final plan and calculation shall be stamped, signed and dated by the engineer or record. Plans shall be legible and drawn to scale.
