Phasing information should be shown under a separate section for information only. 2nd Review Comment: The phasing provided under the Deferred Submittals. Those phases are not considered deferred submittal. Please revise title to specify “PERMIT PHASES – FOR REFERENCE”.2nd Review Comment: Sheet A-2.2 (Enlarged Restroom Plan) and Sheet A-4 (Roof Plan) were not included in the plan sets. Plan submittal shall be completed. Building area: Please separately list area of 1st floor; 2nd floor; and existing equipment mezzanine. 2nd Review Comment: It appears that there was a mezzanine. Please list the floor area of the existing mezzanine. Provide a formal letter addressed to the Building Safety Division describing in detail the manufacturing process from material delivery, storage, handling, packaging, and shipping of finish product. Including an equipment list describing use in the process.2nd Review Comment: Please provide letter to both Building Safety and Fire Department for review. Accessible route: Please show/provide detectable (truncated dome) between the pedestrian walk and vehicular (parking) area. 2nd Review Comment:Please explain why truncated dome is provided at the walkway and the street curb. There was no sidewalk nor curb ramp occurred at that location. Truncated dome provided at the accessible parking area – truncated dome shall not encroach into the parking area including the access aisle. Please relocate the truncated dome. Sheet A-1: Please note on plan: Suite A – Information showed for demo only; not for occupancy without tenant improvement plan. 2nd Review Comment: Plan showed Unit A Phase II Not-a-part – please coordinate with the phasing information on the cover page. Should it be phase III? Sheet A-2.1:2nd Review Comment: Please provide the following informationPlease provide a Wall Legend to show existing vs. new construction. Please clarify what is the small room in the VEG Room 1 (adjacent to the stairway). Plan showed Unit A Phase II Not-a-part – please coordinate with the phasing information on the cover page. Should it be phase III?Please clarify whether the Covered Patio is existing or new? Stairways: Please clearly identify existing or new? Plan review will continue at time of resubmittal. Please provide floor plan for the existing mezzanine. New stairway enclosure at the existing stairway: Door swings into the corridor – Door shall not encroach more than 50% of the required exit width. Break room with lockers: Please show/provide at least 5% of the lockers to be accessible to persons with disabilities.Fire-rated corridor and passage way: on the plan, please clearly identify fire-rated walls and provide construction details for the fire-rated assembly. Details shall be clearly cross-reference onto the plan. Dry room: Dry room shall comply with Section 417 for drying room. Otherwise, relabel the use of the room. Sheet A-3.1: Gypsum board ceiling: Please provide ceiling frame and details for the hard ceiling. Sheet A-3.3: Egress PlanPlease provide exiting (egress) plan showing means of egress, include exit doorways, travel distance, exit signs, tactile signage, etc. 2nd Review Comment:At double doors – the tactile signage should locate on the right of the right side door panel. Please provide 2nd floor plan with exiting (egress) system to verify the means of egress of the second floor is maintained and sufficient. All required exits shall be continuous to a public way in accordance with Section 1009.2.2nd Review Comment: Please show how the rear exit discharge would be continuous to a public way. Access by mean of vehicular gate is insufficient; a pedestrian gate will required. Gate shall be accessible and hardware shall comply with the following: Egress gate shall be readily openable form the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum. Openable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist.
