If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSubmit a letter addressed to the Building Safety Division describing in detail the manufacturing process from material delivery, storage, handling, packaging, and shipping of finish product. Include an equipment list describing use in the process. This letter should be submitted to Fire Department as well. Sheet G-001:On the plan, please specify the area in square-feet for the proposed equipment platform. Equipment Platforms shall comply with Section 505.3. The aggregate area of all equipment platform within a room shall not be greater than two-thirds of the area of the room in which they are located. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. Additional plan check fees will be required. Drawing List: Sheets G-007 through G-009 – Please update sheet name to specify 2019 CBC.Sheet G-005:Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Detail 5E: Please provide dimension for the side grab bar extended minimum 24” pass the front edge of the water closet. On the plan, please show location of Additional Signs in according to Section 11B-502.8. An additional sign shall be posted either; 1) in a conspicuous place at each entrance to an off-street parking facility or 2) immediately adjacent to on-site accessible parking and visible from each parking space. Size: The additional sign shall not be less than 17 inches wide by 22 inches high. Lettering: The additional sign shall clearly state in letters with a minimum height of 1 inch the following: “Unauthorized” vehicles parked in designated accessible spaces not displaying distinguishing placards or special license plates issued for persons with disabilities will be towed away at the owner’s expense. Towed vehicles may be reclaimed at: _________________________ or by telephoning _______________________." *Blank spaces shall be filled in with appropriate information as a permanent part of the sign.Sheet G-006:On the plan, please provide/specify ICC report number for the suspended ceiling. Sheet G-007 thru G-009:Please update sheets and notes to reflect and reference to the current code edition, 2019. Sheet A-100: On the plan, please show/provide an accessible route from a public sidewalk and from accessible parking stall(s) to the building primary entrance(s). Accessible shall be 5% maximum, measured in the direction of travel, 2% maximum cross-slope and 48” minimum wide. Provide details for accessible parking space in compliance with Section 11B-502. On the plan, please show/provide detectable warning (truncated dome) where it’s required. Each exit shall be continuous to a public way in accordance with Section 1009.2. Please show on plan. Equipment are provided. Please show all equipment on the plan (existing and proposed). Please coordinate with MEP plans. Sheet A-110:Each exit shall be continuous to a public way in accordance with Section 1009.2. Please show on plan.Doors at corridor: Two consecutive doors shall be located at a distance of minimum 48” clear, measured at any point of doors. Please coordinate and revise plans accordingly. (1010.1.8)Sheet A-201:Please provide the following notes on the plan: Door hardware: Egress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress ide without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9) Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum. Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. Sheet A-202 & A-203: Please clearly provide wall details references for wall construction details. Please provide restroom plans to show accessibility requirements per Chapter 11B-Divison 6. On the plan, please provide/show door landing and maneuver spaces on both side of doors per Section 11B-404.2.4. Please clarify what is “Mom” room? Specify the use of the room and rename the room may be required. Sheet A-204 & A-302: Please coordinate with comment #1.a on Sheet G-001 for the allowable area of the proposed equipment platform. Coordinate and revise plans accordingly. Sheet A-301: On the plan, please specify ceiling finish information and provide construction detail for ceiling finish. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Sheet A-404:Restroom plans: Please clearly cross-reference details onto the plan. Restroom accessories, including grab bars, toilet paper dispenser, mirrors, benches, etc. – Please show accessories complying with the accessibility requirement. Show required dimensions. Sheet A-411 through A-A15: Equipment Platform level: Please coordinate with comment 1.a on Sheet G-001. Proposed EquipmentOn the plan, please clearly identify/list all the equipment that will be included under this permit application. Provide roof plan and/or equipment platform plan to show all the proposed equipment.Tank room: Please provide equipment schedule and provide structural calculation and detail for equipment support and attachment. Provide structural calculation and plans for equipment support and attachment. Structural Review Comments: Please refer to the Proposed Equipment comments above for structural requirement for proposed equipment. Sheet S-001: On the plan, please specify applicable codes and standards. Plans shall be stamped, signed and dated by the engineer of record. Sheet S-101 through S-105: Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Delete/omit detail that does not apply to the project. Sheet S-202: Please coordinate with the architectural plan for the revised equipment platform. It’s not considered a Mezzanine – Please revise Title Block accordingly. Sheet S-202: Please provide schedule for the framing members. Please provide ceiling framing plan and details and wall details for the north portion of the building. A continuous footing shall be provided under the bearing walls supporting the platform above, and at all shear walls. Please revise plan accordingly. New equipment Platform floor framing: Please provide detail to show wall and floor framing adjacent to existing perimeter wall. Show structural separation. Please show location and details for all the proposed equipment. Please coordinate with MEP plans.
