Please provide response in writing to the remaining correction items.Sheet T1Please revise the project address to “2941 N. Hesperian Street - Unit A, Santa Ana CA 92706”.Under Project Data, the total floor area of the building is 14,718 square feet. It appears the type of construction and occupancy groups in this building exceed the allowable area limitation per CBC section 506. Please provide an allowable area calculation per CBC section 506.2.2. If the allowable calculations do not meet code requirements using type V-B construction, consider type III-B construction as the exterior walls of the existing building are constructed with concrete tilt-up material. Typically, a concrete tilt-up building meets the two-hour fire rating for exterior walls. If the type III-B construction is chosen, provide a letter to report the existing exterior walls meet the two-hour fire rated requirements in CBC Table 601 and specify one of the item numbers in CBC Table 721.1(2).PC2:Provide a letter to report the existing exterior walls meet the two-hour fire rated requirements.Complete the building analysis after the modified maximum allowable area is found and specify which approach is used. Section 508.3 or section 508.4?Provide justification on detail 7/A7 that the new exterior wall infill meets 2-hour fire rated assembly. The valid justification are one of the following: approved details from gypsum manual, ICC, UL, IAPMO or per section CBC 721 or 722. Indicate approved detail number or item number to verify.Sheet A0What is the occupancy group in unit B? Does the existing one-hour demising wall meet the occupancy separation requirement in CBC Table 508.4?Sheet A0.1Specify a dimensional width of the truncated dome on the site plan. The minimum width shall be 36 inches.Detail 2: Update code reference number to “11B.502.6.4” on the accessible symbol note.Detail 2: Provide details on the accessible symbol such as size, color and position.Detail 2: specify blue painted borderline around the perimeter of the access aisle.Detail 2: Cross reference detail number “4/A0.1” on the truncated-domes note.Detail 4: Revise the truncated domes’ height to 0.2 inches.Detail 4: Revise the specification of truncated domes’ color to “33538”.A referenced number appears to be missing near the entrance door on the site plan.Sheet A1The front-entrance door has a wrong keynote number. Revise it to keynote #2.Sheet A2Move the referenced detail number “2/A7” closer to the drinking fountains.Sheet A3There is a dead-end condition in the south-east corner of the building. The width clearance between storage racks is measured to be 9’-10”. The length of the dead-end corridor shall be less than 2.5 times the least width of the dead-end corridor (2.5 x 9.83’ = 24.58’). The distance between the end wall and exit door is measured at 32.5 feet. Revise design as necessary.Sheet A6Restroom Plan: The leader on keynote one is pointing at the sink. It should be pointing at the mirror.Few notes are merged together on elevation A and B on detail 2.Sheet A7Detail 7: Provide structural calculations for the 17-foot infilled at exterior wall. Consider wind load of 110 mph with exposure B on the metal-stud wall and connection design.PC2: There is no response to this item. No structural calculation and plans are submitted.
