All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans and 2 copies of structural calculationsPlease return marked up set of drawings with corrections, if they are picked up. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet A1.1:The proposed shade structure is considered a new structure. Please provide building code analysis to show compliance with the building allowable area per Chapter 5, and fire protection per Chapter 7 of the 2019 California Building Code. 2nd Review Comment: Either revise job description and plans to show/specify the shade (covered) structures will be under a separate permit application, or provide building code analysis to show compliance with the building allowable area per Chapter 5, and fire protection per Chapter 7, CBC. 3rd Review Comment:The information provided was incomplete. There are existing buildings on the same lot and adjacent to the proposed structure. The allowable area calculation/analysis shall consider the building area of the existing buildings. (503.1.2; 3101.1; 3102.4)4th Review Comment: Scope of work changed – To be consistence, please provide the following:Sheet T-1: Scope of work – Please revise scope of work to specify temporary overhead shade sail structure. Sheet T-1: Temporary shade sail structure – Please specify “The structure shall erected for a period of less than 180 days, and shall comply with the California Fire Code”.
