The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
Sheet 1:
Job Description: Please include the addition of entry porch.
Project Data: Please include the proposed entry porch area.
Existing Floor Plan: Please show existing door and front wall to be removed to accommodate new double door.
Structural detail sheets and Title 24 Energy calculation: Please number each plan sheet and coordinate with Sheet Index.
Reminder: Correct job address.
Sheet 2:
Double door: At least one leaf of door shall be 32” clear open. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly.
Windows and doors: on the plan, please clearly specify existing (E) vs. new (N) or replaced (R).
Sliding door 10: Please specify tempered.
Please provide building sections to show building envelope including floor, wall and roof insulation.
Structural comments:
New ridge line: Please provide detail to show existing roof framings to support new roof. To reduce additional loads onto existing roof, provide purlin and kickers to support new roof.
Beam 1 and 3: The distrusted width of roof loading appeared understated. Please verify bearing location of existing roof frames from both side of the new beams. Please revise beams calculations as necessary.
Detail 14/5: Please revise detail to specify 6x post to support 5-1/4” x beam.
Beam 4: For clarity, please show beam extended to the bearing wall foundation.
Front port: please provide 4x ridge beam with king posts support.
Lateral resisting system: Interior walls were removed – Please provide lateral resisting system on the left-to-right direction.
Foundation:
Detail 1/5: Please revise detail to show minimum 18” separation between grade and floor joist.
Detail 1/5: Please revise detail to show minimum 18” deep footing.
Please provide pad footing at each end of beam #4.
Show underfloor space access to existing and new underfloor space.
