The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
Sheet A2 & A3: Existing building
Please note on plan “FOR REFERENCE ONLY”
Sheet A4:
On the plan, please show/provide door landing at both exterior doors. Landing shall be minimum 3-ft measured in the direction of travel, and width equal to door opening.
Please specify tempered glass for glazing in door and within of 24” of door.
Detail 4/A4, one-hour fire-rated wall: Please revise detail show the 5/8” type ‘X’ gypsum board extending to the underside of the roof sheathing.
Sheet A5:
North Elevation: Stucco wall is required for the one-hour fire-rated wall. Please clarify.
Structural Comments:
Concrete curb is required at existing garage door to be infilled. Please coordinate and revise foundation wall detail at infilled wall.
Detail 11 & 12/S1: please coordinate with fire-rated wall. Additional blocking is required for drywall extending to the underside of roof sheathing.
Final plan shall be stamped, signed and dated by the engineer of record.
