All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application:
- Revise project job description on the building permit application worksheet to reflect the work to be done
under the subject building permit application.
- Construction drawings must clearly show all work to be done under the subject building permit application.
- Delete all notes and details from drawings that are not a part of the work to be done under the subject building
permit application. This includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical work that is not specifically required by
the Building Code.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet A0.5:Although Unit A is not part of this permit application, show means of egress for the Unit A for reference. Sheet A1.0:On the plan, please show accessible route from public sidewalk and from accessible parking spaces to both units B and A. Accessible route shall be 5% maximum, measured in the direction of travel and 2% cross-slope. Sheet A2.0:Wall details F/A10.0: Please revise detail to specify metal stud thickness and provide allowable stud height table. Please provide construction detail and listing report for the prefabricated wall and ceiling. Please incorporate into the architectural plans and shall be part of the plan submittal. Existing exterior door at the entry lobby – Please specify door size and door hardware. Please provide the following notes on the plan:
Door hardware:
Egress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress ide without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9)
Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground.
The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum.
Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist.
Reminder: Please submit plan to the Fire Department (OCFA) for review and approval prior to building permit issuance.
