The applicant shall, prior to resubmitting, complete all construction documents to show compliance with the 2010California Building Standards Code with local amendments and to clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application. There may be additional requirements when complete construction drawings and supporting data is submitted for Building Safety Division review.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
Sheet A1.0:
Applicable Codes: Please update code to 2019 Code edition.
Water Conservation Notes: Please revise note to reference to the 2019 California Green Building and Plumbing Code.
Legal Description: Occupancy – please specify occupancy groups R-3 / U.
Scope of work: Please specify the expansion of laundry room, bedroom and new bathroom.
Sheet A2.0:
Egress window W-3: the 3040 hung window would not provide 24” clear opening height. Please revise plan to provide window with minimum 24” clear opening height.
Reminder: Whiteout was used at bathroom vanity – please correct vanity on the electronic file prior to printing.
Sheet A3.0:
Building Section: Please revise building section to show R-38 insulation at roof and R-21 wall insulation per Title 24 calculation.
Please revise floor plan (Sheet A2.0) to provide 2x6 wall to accommodate the R-21 insulation per Title 24 calculation.
Structural Comment:
Detail 1 and 6: Please revise detail to show/specify footing embedded minimum 18” into the undisturbed soil.
Wall frame: 2x6 wall studs are required per Title 24 Energy calculation. Please coordinate with architectural plan and revise plan and details accordingly.
