Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.PLAN CHECK COMMENTS:It is recommended to schedule an appointment with the plan reviewer to go over remaining comments prior to work on the corrections. The Electrical plans are under separate permit.Submit a letter addressed to the Building Safety Division describing in detail the manufacturing process from material delivery, storage, handling, packaging, and shipping of finish product. Include an equipment list describing use in the process. (Clarify F1 occupancy).There are multiple buildings located on the same property. Revise the address in the drawing title to “3101 W Harvard St. Building #E and Building #G” on all sheets, energy calculation and cover page of the structural calculation. (See item #8 for more information)Please add the square footage of the shed #4 (48 sf.) into paper permit application and revise sheet T-101 to add it in the shed area under statistics details. The 480 sf. shed area does is only for shed #2 does not include sheet #4.Sheet A100. Detail 2. Remove the imaginary lot line on plan.Sheet A-101. Please clarify on plan that all doors (Door #2, #3 and #4 are accessible).Sheet A-101. Provide window specifications on plan.According to the “Disable access compliance form”, the following items will be provided: (1) $2,000 entrance door (2) $6000 drinking fountain(s) (3) $1000 parking and (4) $1000 signage & alarms.For item #2, the new drinking fountain is located on the other restroom building (Building #G). For item #5B, the new signage is provided on the restroom building (Building #G)Separate permit is required for new drinking fountain and new restroom signage. Fill out permit application form to obtain separate building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permitfor new drinking fountain and restroom signage.If applicable, submit EMP plans separately with Building plans. PLEASE DO NOT USE DROP BOX. SEE PERMIT SERVICE STAFF AT THE COUTNER FOR NEW PERMIT APPLICATION.Provide restroom construction floor plan with dimensions to show proposed drinking fountain location and pedestrian protection.On “Disable access compliance measures” note #2, revise the last part of the note “see sheet A-1.0...” to show correct sheet number where the construction floor plan can be found. Plan note #1, clarify note #1 to describe in detail where the $1000 dollar is spent on the compliance of the existing parking space per disabled access compliance measures item #3.Sheet A-100. Add note to door schedule. Handles, pulls, latches, locks, and other operable parts on doors and gates shall comply with 11B-309.4 Operation. Operable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. Where sliding doors are in the fully open position, operating hardware shall be exposed and usable from both sides. §11B-404.2.7 Sheet A-102. Add note to door schedule. Swinging door and gate surfaces within 10 inches of the finish floor or ground measured vertically shall have a smooth surface on the push side extending the full width of the door or gate. Parts creating horizontal or vertical joints in these surfaces shall be within 1/16 inch of the same plane as the other and be free of sharp or abrasive edges. Cavities created by added kick plates shall be capped. §11B-404.2.10 Sheet A-102. The force for pushing or pulling open a door or gate other than fire doors shall be as follows: §11B-404.2.9 a. Interior hinged doors and gates: 5 pounds maximum. b. Sliding or folding doors: 5 pounds maximum. c. Required fire doors: the minimum opening force allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds. d. Exterior hinged doors: 5 pounds maximum. END OF COMMENTS.
