If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000)Sheet A-1: Basement Floor plan: For clarity, please specify “existing (E) Basement Use for Storage Only” Mezzanine Floor Plan: For clarity, please specify “existing Mezzanine Use for Storage Only”First Floor Plan: please show clear access between service area and customer area (between new counter and stairway). Existing main entry shall be accessible to person with disability in accordance with 11B-404. Show door hardware. Provide a level landing and maneuver space on both sides of door. Provide minimum 60” level landing measured in the direction of travel, and 24” pass the door strike edge. (11B-404.2.4)For a qualified historical building: Power-assisted door or doors may be considered an equivalent alternative to level landings, strikeside clearance and door-opening forces required by the regular code.A readily visible durable sign posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the main exit door stating: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THIS SPACE IS OCCUPIED”, is required. (1010.1.9.3)Provide the following note on the plan: Egress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress ide without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9)Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum. Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. Existing Restroom shall be made accessible to persons with disabilities. Please provide restroom information to show compliance with 11B, Division 6. When Section 11B-202.4, Exception 8 (the 20% exception rule) is used, a DISABLED ACCESS COMPLIANCEDOCUMENTATION FORM shall be completed and submitted to Building Safety for review and approval. The completed form shall be reproduced onto the plan. Storage racks: Please specify maximum height of the storage racks. Please provide complete floor plan of the building to show adjacent suites; specify the use of space and occupancy groups of the adjacent suites. Sheet A-3:Please provide detail for the furred wall and clearly cross-referenced detail onto the plan. Details provided on sheet A-3 appeared not applicable to the proposed furred wall.
