If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.If marked-up plans were picked up, please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)School District Applicant to submit plan directly to Fire Department (OCFA) for review and approval prior to Building Safety approval. Sheet A0.0:Construction type: Please specify whether it is type III-B or III-A. Please see Chapter 6 for type of construction classification. On the plan, please provide building allowable height (story) and allowable area analysis per Chapter 5. 2nd Review Comment: Allowable Height and Area Limitation – Since the allowable area is used with sprinkler increase, please revise allowable building height and allowable story to show 55-ft and 2 stories, respectively, (with area increase). Business operation/use: Occupancy group I-4 are provided custodial care for fewer than 24 hours per day – Please clarify whether this is 24 hour care facility or daycare facility less than 24 hour per day. 2nd Review Comment: Please specify “THIS FACILITY IS NOT A 24-HOUR CARE FACILITY” on the plan under the Business Operation, as responded. On the plan, please provide care recipients information, including age ranges, ambulatory, nonambulatory, etc. 2nd Review Comment: Please note on plan “There are no rendered incapable of self-preservation by the services provided”. Otherwise, occupancies classified as ambulatory care facilities shall comply with the provisions of Sections 422.1 through 422.6.Sheet A0.2: 2nd Review Comment: Detail 2 and 3, revised accessible ramps – Please revise top landings and intermediate landing to extend level landing to accommodate the 12” handrail extension on both sides of ramp. Sheet A1.0:Teaching area (140): The teaching area appeared to be a kitchen – Please specify cooking appliances and provide type I hood. Revise mechanical plan as necessary for type hood and exhaust duct system. 2nd Review Comment: On the plan, please specify “domestic kitchen appliances for demonstration only”.Kitchen counter space and food prep areas used by care recipients/students shall be accessible to persons with disabilities. Show counter space height (28”-34”) and equipment reaching height. (11B-902;11B-308)2nd Review Comment: Referenced detail A/A1.1 –Notes referred to details on sheet A3.2 for accessible features, but sheet A3.2 was not provided. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. Sheet A1.1:Rooms/spaces classified as Group I-4 shall not be located above or below the first story. (Section 436.1 CBC)2nd Review Comment: Please revise second floor to relabel all rooms as employee private offices; remove Mother / quiet, consult, huddle, etc.
