The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.Sheet 1. Provide a statement on the title sheet of the plans that this project shall comply with following codes:
- 2019 California Residential Code (CRC)
- 2019 California Building Code (CBC)
- 2019 California Electrical Code (CEC)
- 2019 California Energy Code (CEnC)
- City of Santa Ana Municipal CodeSheet 2. Show distance from the edge of the new patio roof to the side property lines.
Sheet 3. Show minimum 6’-8” vertical clearance from the bottom of the 6x8 beam to the concrete slab surface.
Sheet 3. Clarify the patio height. Plan shows 514’-7”?
Sheet 3. Design and specify reinforcement, thickness and depth of the concrete spread footing at the column base detail.
Staple or incorporate page 1 and page 2 of the structural calculation into the submitted drawings. The information on those pages such as construction material and design loads are needed to this project.

***We accept plans drop off for correction resubmittals only (not revisions or change of scope). It is between 9 am and 12 pm from Monday through Thursday (No Friday). No appointment is needed. You can access to the drop-off location outside the building, located at the south entrance of the city hall by the information desk. Please call (714) 647-5800 for permit issuance and payment information, and for all building related questions or if you need assistance to find the drop-off location.
