The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
- School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by
the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work.
Sheet A-2.1 & A-2.2:
Please provide/show a building cross-section from North-to-South direction to show separation between the two living units.
Provide detail to show construction of one-hour fire-rated wall.
Show fire-rated wall continuation at 1st floor top plates. Details shall be clearly cross-reference onto the plan.
Sheet A-3.1
Provide detail to show separation between ADU and garage. The 5/8” type ‘X’ shall be extended to the roof sheathing.
Please revise building section to show R-30 + R-13 insulation in attic, and R15 insulation between garage and ADU. (Per Title 24 Calculation)
Sheet A-4.0:
2nd Floor: Please show/provide smoke alarm outside of the sleeping room.
Sheet SD2:
Detail 5/SD2: Please revise detail to show/provide rafter-ceiling lap nailing.
