The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
- School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by
the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work.
Sheet A2.12:
Wall line at gridline 3 (adjacent to property line): on the plan, provide one-hour fire-rated wall. Provide fire-rated wall construction detail and clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan.
2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. The one hour rated wall construction provided did not reflect with the exterior wall. Please revise detail to show 5/8” type ‘X’ gypsum board on the inside and minimum 7/8” thick stucco on the exterior side of wall; show weather protection underlayment under (inside) the stucco.
Show clear floor dimensions for the shower compartment.
2nd Review Comment: Please show minimum 30” circle within the shower compartment.

Building Section:
Show building envelope insulation (roof and wall insulation). Coordinate with Title 24 calculation.
2nd Review Comment: There is no attic space, and 2x4 wall studs are provided – Please revise Title 24 calculation to reflect with the provided building envelope.
Title 24 calculation:
Title 24 calculation required R-23 wall insulation with 2x6 wall studs – Please verify existing wall studs size – 2x4 wall studs are typical. Please revise Title 24 as necessary.
2nd Review Comment: Walls are 2x4 existing wall – please coordinate and revise Title 24 calculation accordingly.
Title 24 calculation required R-38 insulation in roof ceiling – Please coordinate with roof rafter size for R-38 insulation thickness. Revise Title 24 calculation as necessary.
2nd Review Comment: The R-38 insulation would not fit inside the 2x10 roof rafter – please coordinate and revise plan and Title 24 accordingly.
Structural Review Comment:
Roof framing plan: Please coordinate with Title 24 calculation for required roof rafter depth for roof insulation.
