The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
- School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by
the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work.
Sheet A0.1:
Scope of work: Existing windows to be legalized – Please how many windows? And clarify whether they are new window openings or replacement of existing windows?
2nd Review Comment:Additional/separate permit application is required for the work being done on the existing house (window change out). Please contact our permit service staff for the permit application.

2nd Review Comment: On the plan, please clearly show/specify door landing. Landing shall be minimum 3-ft measured in the direction of travel, and width equal to door opening.
Wall between existing residence and new ADU shall be protected with one-hour fire-rated construction. Please show one-hour wall and provide detail for one-hour rated wall assembly.
2nd Review Comment: Not referenced to sheet A6 was not applicable. Please provide details to show one-hour wall assembly and clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan.
Provide building section to show building envelope with roof and wall insulation, per Title 24 calcuation.

2nd Review Comment: Natural light and ventilation were insufficient for the living room and kitchen area. Please provide glazing equal 8% of the floor area and the openable area equal to 4% of the room floor area. Door and window at the rear cannot be used for light and ventilation since roof cover was provided over porch/patio.
Additional Comments:
Plan was incomplete. Please review will continue at time of resubmittal and additional comment may be required.
Provide Title 24 Energy Calculation and Compliance forms. Completed and signs forms shall be incorporated onto the plan.

Structural plans and calculations were not provided. Please provide complete structural plans, details and calculation.

Foundation: Please provide detail for the new exterior footing. Detail shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan.
Foundation: Please provide detail for anchor hold-down. Clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan.
Foundation: Provide detail for post support at foundation.
Framing Legend: note referenced to sheet S-2.1 for shear wall schedule was not applicable. Please revise note accordingly.
