All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application:
- Revise project job description on the building permit application worksheet to reflect the work to be done
under the subject building permit application.
- Construction drawings must clearly show all work to be done under the subject building permit application.
- Delete all notes and details from drawings that are not a part of the work to be done under the subject building
permit application. This includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical work that is not specifically required by
the Building Code.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Plan was incomplete.Plan review will continue at time of resubmittal. All plans for cannabis projects including but not limited to cultivators, distributors, manufacturers, testing laboratories, and retailers shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer. Plan shall be stamped, signed, and dated by a licensed architect or registered civil engineer. Construction documents shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the location, nature and extent of the work proposed and show in detail that the project will conform to the provisions of the CCR, CBSC, CHSC and/or relevant laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of the City and State. Specify the floor area of the building or tenant space, previous and proposed occupancy group(s) and use(s), type of construction, number of stories, building height, type of fire sprinklers system and/or fire alarm system provided, fire separation distance or setback of building to property lines or other buildings on the lot, and the types and number of parking space(s) provided for the site on the first sheet or title sheet of the construction documents. Include justification and analysis for increase in area, height, and/or story where applicable.Sheet 1: Please provide the following information on the first sheet:Type of constructionOccupancy groups Occupant loadsOn the plan, please show an accessible path of travel from the public sidewalk to the building accessible entrance. Accessible path of travel shall have 5% maximum slope, measured in the direction of travel, 2% cross-slope and 48” minimum width. On the plan, please show/provide detectable warning where is required per Section 11B-247. Provide detail to show compliance with Section 11B-705.1. On the plan, please provide detail for accessible parking space to show compliance with Section 11B-502, including marking and signage. Note on plan: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing are not part of this plan review and approval. MEP are under separate review and approval. Sheet 2: Proposed floor plan: On the plan, please clearly show existing wall vs. new wall – Provide Wall Legend. On the plan, please show/provide accessible restrooms. Provide information to show compliance with Section 11B-Divison 6. Per Assembly Bill 1732, all single-accommodated restroom shall identify as an “all-gender/unisex” restroom as below:Where existing toilet rooms or bathing rooms do not comply with Section 11B-603, directional signs indicating the location of the nearest toilet room or bathing room complying with Section 11B-603 within the facility shall be provided. (11B-216.8)Work rooms: Please clearly provide statement describing the use of the work rooms. Sheet 3: Reflected Ceiling Plan Please provide additional illuminated exit signs on both sides of the new interior door. On the plan, please clearly identify existing vs. new construction. Roof Plan: Please provide structural framing and calculation to show support for the proposed roof top units. Exiting plan: A new exiting (egress) plan is required. Using existing egress plan was insufficient. Please provide new egress plan with occupant load calculation for reach space/room. Please provide the following note on the plan:
Egress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress ide without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9)
Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground.
The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum.
Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. A readily visible durable sign posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the main exit door stating: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THIS SPACE IS OCCUPIED”, is required. (1010.1.9.4)
