This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by
the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work.
-Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the
plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039).

Sheet A-000. Scope of work. Revise permit number for the main house to 102106358
Sheet A-000. Scope of work. Per your response, all existing windows in the main house are to be legalized. Add the following note to the scope under permit # 102106358:”Legalize unpermitted window alteration in the main house and comply with 2019 California Energy Code.”
Sheet A-001. On the proposed main house floor plan, revise plan to labelallexisting windows are to be legalized in the main house as alteration or (a) instead of (e).
Sheet A-001. Please add note on plan if the walls to be removed are structural walls or non-bearing walls. Please verify them before submitting plans. If those are structural walls, provide structural engineering design and detail for interior demolition with plans. Structural calculation is required for removing load-bearing walls or lateral braced walls (shear walls).
Energy
Sheet T24.1. The window alteration shall comply with the fenestration requirements per 2019 CEC. On page 4 of the CF1R form, label the windows to be legalized as alteration (not existing) under the “status column #15”.
