The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. -Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039). Sheet A0.1: Exterior wall located within 5-ft of the fire separation distance shall be protected with one-hour fire-rated wall. Please specify one-hour wall on plan, and provide construction detail of one-hour wall assembly. Clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please revise floor plan to show one-hour fire-rated wall and provide construction detail for one-hour fire-rated wall assembly. Exterior wall located within 5-ft of the fire separation distance: Wall openings shall not exceed 25% of wall. Revise plan to provide 2x6 wall to accommodate R-21 wall insulation, per Title 24 calculation. 2nd Review Comment: Please provide wall legend for the 2x6 exterior wall stud. Sheet A2.1A2.0: Please revise window openings and type to match with Window Schedule (slider). 2nd Review Comment: Please revise elevation to show sliding window (match with window schedule). Sheet A2.2 A2.1: Building Section: Please specify R-21 insulation for wall as required by the Title 24 calculation. 2nd Review Comment: Please revise Section Keynote#5 to provide 2x6 wall studs at 16” on center. Structural Comments: Please coordinate with architectural plan for wall thickness (2x6 wall studs). Coordinate and revise plans and details accordingly. 2nd Review Comment: 2x6 stud walls are required for the exterior walls. Please revise plan to show 2x6 wall studs with 6x headers. Sheet S.1: Slab shall be minimum 5” thick per soil report, please revise slab specification. 2nd Review Comment: Please revise footing details on sheet SD.1 to specify 5” thick concrete slab with #4 rebar at 18” on center. Structural calculation shall be stamped, signed, and dated by the engineer of record.
