If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer. Show compliance on the monumental structure sheets and structural calculations. CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1.Please refer to red marks on the drawings for additional plan check comments. Revise drawings to show compliance.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).PLAN CHECK COMMENTSThe current permit valuation shows $10,000. Submit a signed copy of the contract showing labor and materials for all work to be done under the subject building permit application to justify the permit value. Sheet G001. Scope-of-Work: Show the complete and detailed Scope-of-Work on the plans per the permit application, including the location, nature and extent of the work proposed.All sheets. Remove “not for construction” notes on the drawing title block.Please assign sheet number on the monument design pages. Revise monument design sheet and sheet index on the cover sheet.Sheet A101. On the site plan, show location of the pump room and provide access to the pump room access door.Provide architectural elevations for the monument structure. Elevation drawings shall include following information:Height dimensionsExterior finishes and materialsPC2: The information is shown on the drawing #14833. Provide this information on the full size plan.Exterior building components including doors and windowsTop of floor elevations(s)Top of finished grade (referenced to site plan)Monument Section drawings shall include following information:Building component assemblies (walls, roof, floors, foundations, etc.)Pumproom walls, ceiling height.Material sizes/typeHeight dimensions (top of finished grade, top of floor elevation(s), bottom of ceiling, etc.)Bottom of footing elevationProvide structural framing plan and foundation plan for monument structure. All member size, specification and connection details must be shown or cross-referenced on plan.PC2: Sheet 7 of 8. Provide drawing #14833 attached to this submittal. For connections shown on the drawing #14833, provide structural calculation to justify the (24) ½” diameter anchor with 10” embedment. Specify type and material of the anchor bolt. Show connection detail on the plan.Identify the location of the pump room on the site plan.Pump room shall also complies with the following:Provide dimensioned floor plan, clear height, elevation and sections. The floor plan shall include the access door to the room, wall, ceiling height, and equipment schedule. Sheet 8 is not clear.Pump room shall comply with all applicable sections in CBC.Provide egress design complying with CBC chapter 10.Provide accessibly design comply with CBC chapter 11B.Provide equipment specification, dimensions, configurations and weight on plan.Page 7 of the monument design shows glass construction on plan. It is not clear where and the function of the glass. It appears the glass panel is also below the finish grade. The glass is not allow to function as a retaining wall. Please provide more information on plan.Page 7. Show compliance method of the proposed glass in accordance with CBC Chapter 24. A note stating that glass shall comply with CBC chapter 24 WILL NOT BE ACCPETED.Page 7. Provide structural design and detail for the glass and its anchorage per CBC chapter 16 and 24.Provide special inspection for concrete per CBC 1705.3.Structural calculation:Revise calculation to include LIVE LOAD in the GRAVITY LOAD as part of the apply load. PC2: Not response. Please provide explanation why live load does not apply to your design. Provide Building code section to support your reason. E.g. your concrete slab does not check dead plus live load combo due to zero live load.Provide loading criteria AND load calculation for the following load: dead load: 19.044 kips, wind moment 45.968 k-ft and wind load: 4.839 kips. Show how to obtain the apply load in the ENERCALC design.PC2: Not provided. You are referring to page 5 and page 6. It still not clear in the spread sheet. Provide explanation calculation. I am not able to understand your spread sheet.Design the anchorage to support the SEISMIC LOAD and GRAVITY LOAD under the most critical load combination in CBC chapter 16 and ASCE 7-16. Provide calculation for obtaining design seismic load and design the anchorage.PC2: Calculation page 6, there is water flowing along the surface of the sphere. Please add water weight to the seismic load to design sphere anchorage. Does seismic weight that shows 3312 pounds include the water weight? Provide complete structural calculation to verify the adequacy of the structural system in resisting seismic, wind and gravity loads for the monument structure framing and substructure between the bottoms of the globe to the concrete slab. Show connection detail on the plan.All calculation and full size structural plans shall be stamped, dated and signed by the professional civil or structural engineer, licensed by the State of California.Specify the weight of the floor mounted equipment on the plans. Provide engineering calculations and structural plans for the support and anchorage of the floor mounted equipment weighing more than 400 pounds or with a center of mass more than 4-feet or less above the floor level.
