PLAN CHECK COMMENT
All connection details reference to sheet S-2 are incorrect where there are no details on that sheet.
Provide footing anchorage detail for the 4x6 post which directly support the TS steel beam.
Revise the detail number on the steel beam to wood post connection from 6/S1 to a new assigned number (e.g. 9/S1). The number 6/S1 has been used by other detail.
Clarify detail 7/S1. It appears the steel beam may support the existing 2nd floor exterior wall. Show connection of the existing wall to the steel beam to provide continuous lateral load path to transfer horizontal shear. Please note, verify if any existing tie-down on this 2nd floor wall occurs, and provide tie-down detail to the steel beam as well.
Structural calculation is required for:
New TS8x6x3/8” steel beam, and its foundation support.
New 3.5”x11.88” 2.0E PSL beam, and its foundation support.
Lateral calculation to design new 10.5 feet long type A shear wall.
