All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by
the Public Works Agency (647-5039)
- School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check
engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.3rd Review Comment: Please provide and coordinate the following information Sheet A-1.1 & A-1.2: To be consistent with the structural plan – Please call out note #7 for new exterior wall, at line 5 adjacent to the elevator. Sheet A-1.1 & A-1.2: Plan note #7 – Please revise note to provide 2x6 fire-retardant wood stud wall. Detail 13/A-2: Detail showed two walls (double wall) whereas structural plan showed single fire-retarded wood stud wall. Please coordinate with structural plan to revise detail accordingly. Exterior wall steel beam and column system: Detail 12/S203 – Please specify the beams and columns shall be protected with a 2-hour fire-rated of listed Spray-applied Fire-resistive material (SFRM). The approved product and specification can be a deferred submittal item – note on plan.Sheet S101: Exterior wall at entry located just below gridline F – Please coordinate with architectural plan and show new wood stud wall (fire-retardant). Sheet S103: Exterior wall at entry located just below gridline F – Please coordinate with architectural plan and revise roof framing detail as necessary. Sheet S103: Please provide detail for new wall at gridline F, adjacent to elevator. Sheet S103: New wall at gridline E – Please provide/show post under the existing roof beam and continue to foundation. Please provide foundation review approval letter from the geotechnical engineer for general conformance with the soil report recommendation.
