The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. Sheet A-1: Occupancy Group R-2: Please provide/show the following – Exterior wall located less than 10-ft from the property line shall be protected with one-hour fire-rated wall assembly. Please show one-hour wall and provide detail reference for one hour fire-rated wall assembly. 2nd Review Comment: Exterior wall locate less than 10-ft from the property line shall be one-hour wall. Please show one-hour wall and provide detail for one-hour wall assembly. Provide detail for one-hour parapet in compliance with Section 705.11. 2nd Review Comment: The parapet should be extended to the end of the north wall of the rear building. Please revise roof plan A-1 and elevation on A-4. Parapet must be one-hour and extended minimum 30” above the roof line, including the cricket. Unprotected opening: Please provide wall opening calculation to show not more than 10% of wall are open. 2nd Review Comment: Unprotect openings shall be limit to 10% of the wall per Table 705.8. Please revise plan to limit wall opening along the east wall line. Sheet A-2: On the plan, please show one-hour fire-rated partition between each living unit (unit A & C; Unit C & D). Provide detail reference. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Please provide detail to show fire-rated wall extended above ceiling and terminated on the underside of the roof sheathing. Detail shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Walls separating dwelling units shall provide airborne sound insulation for walls with an STC rating of at least 50. 2nd Review Comment: Details – Please revise detail to show/provide resilient channels as required for sound insulation.
