The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. STRUCTURAL Sheet S2.0 and structural calculation:(SDPWS Chapter 4) Provide a complete and consistent grid system with grid lines for each lateral line of resistance on structural framing plans. See red lines on plan. Vertical supports (e.g. shear walls) are required on grid line 2 and line 3. When a diaphragm is idealized as flexible, the diaphragm shear force shall be distributed to the vertical resisting elements based on tributary area. Provide vertical support, calculation and shear transfer details on all edge of diaphragms (on grid line 2 and line 3) or design lateral collector to transfer lateral force to vertical support. Calculation and details are required. Provide design of the horizontal diaphragms and diaphragm chords and chord splices. Provide diaphragm specification on plan. Reentrant corner occurs. Provide design, calculation and details on plan to comply with ASCE 7-16 Table 12.3-1 and section 12.3.3.4. Provide complete shear transfer details including detailing for nails, bolt, shear plates, sill plates and blocking. Sheet SD1. Refer to comments marked on detail 11/SD1.
