Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans. Plans shall be signed and dated by the responsible designer. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. The responses were incomplete. The following comments are remain applicable: Final plans shall be signed and dated by the person who is responsible for the construction document. Sheet A.1: New landscape planter adjacent to the existing garage door – Please show section to show exposed earth/grade located at least 8” below the wall sill plate and show surface water flow away from the building wall. Sheet A.3: existing 36”x36” at bedroom shall be replaced with a 48”x48” slider for emergency escape window openings. Provide construction detail for the interior wall. Show attachment at top and bottom of wall. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Detail 2/S.1, one-hour wall: Please revise detail to show 5/8” type ‘X’ gypsum board on both sides of wall, and fire-rated wall shall extended from slab/floor to the underside of roof sheathing. Detail 1/S.2: Please clearly show attachment of new wall studs to the exiting header. Show mean of attachment, including fastener. Detail 1/S.2: Please clearly show attachment detail of new wall to foundation, including anchor bolts, spacing, minimum embedment, etc. New footing is required at the existing garage door opening; now with an infilled wall. Coordinate and revise detail accordingly. On the plan, please specify R-13 insulation at wall and R-30 insulation at roof. Please show ceiling frames for ceiling finish (drywall) and support. Show ceiling joist size, spacing, bearing (supporting) location, etc. Plan show existing moisture barrier underneath the existing garage slab was not accurate. Typically, moisture barrier was not provided under the existing garage slab. Approved surface application may be used. On the plan, please provide manufacturer’s name and ICC report number on the plan.
