Under Code data summary: Section C, assign occupancy group (CBC chapter 3) to each room/space (sales, office, processing…). Section A. Revise occupancy group to list all applicable occupancies in this tenant space.Section B. revise “existing” to provide area justification on plan. The original occupancy group assigned to suite 2116 was M occupancy, and to suite 2118 was M/B occupancy. Tactile exit signs shall be required at the following locations: - Each grade-level exterior exit door shall be identified by a tactile exit with the word “EXIT.” - Each exit access door from an interior room or area to a corridor or hallway, which is required to have a visual exit sign, shall be identified by a tactile exit sign with the words “EXIT ROUTE.”Provide exit tactile sign detail. For the purpose of Section 1013.4, the term “tactile exit signs” shall mean those required signs that comply with Chapter 11B, section 11B-703.1, 11B-703.2, 11B-703.3 or 11B-703.5.Note the following on the plans: “The means of egress, including the exit discharge, will be illuminated to a level of not less than one foot-candle at the walking surface at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied”.Note on the plans: “Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated at all times and shall be connected to an emergency power system (batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator) that will automatically illuminate the exit signs for a duration of not less than 90 minutes.”Note on plans: “Egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort.”Egress doors equipped with a key operated locking device shall have a readily visible, durable sign posted on the egress side adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall have one-inch high letters on a contrasting background.Sheet A6.0. List the provisions in CBC Section 1010.1.9.8item #11 for the door equipped with a delayed egress lock.ACCESSIBILITYSheet AS1.0. Show accessible path of travel on plan. When alterations or additions are made to existing buildings or facilities, an accessible path of travel to the specific area of alteration or addition shall be provided unless otherwise exempt. (11B-202.4).Please clarify and verify if the existing path of travel is fully comply with 2019 CBC chapter 11B. If yes, provide a statement, signed and dated by the license architect in record, that the licensed architect in record has inspected and certified the existing path of travel is fully comply with 2019 CBC chapter 11B. If not, clearly indicate the elements and details to be upgraded on the drawings. In addition, fill out the “Disable access compliance form” to indicate the upgrades.Detail1/A4.1. Provide 36” wide detectable warnings around the exterior door landing. Note that detectable warning shall not be encroached into the required door maneuvering clearance or landing space.Detail 2/A4.1 and 3/A4.1. Increase top landing to accommodate 12” handrail top extension in the same direction of stairway flights. (11B-505.10).Sheet A1.0. Curb ramps shall have detectable warnings that extend 36 inches in the direction of travel for the full width of the ramp run less than 2 inches maximum on each side, excluding any flared sides. (11B-247.1.2.2, 11B-705.1.2.2, 11B-406.5.12). Provide curb ramp detail on plan.Sheet A4.0. Provide at least one accessible fitting room on plan for each sex, complying with CBC 11B-803. Clearance around a water closet shall be 60 inches minimum measured perpendicular from the sidewall and 56 inches minimum measured perpendicular from the rear wall. Tactile characters on signs shall be located 48 inches minimum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the lowest Braille cells and 60 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the highest line of raised characters. Refer to Figure 11B-703.4.1. (11B-703.4.1).Detail 10/A5.1. Revise accessible sink location to provide sufficient clear floor space for either forward or parallel approach. (11B-606.2).Provide fixture plans show compliance with CBC 11B.Provide checkout area and jewelry area shall be accessible:Spaces and elements within employee work areas shall only be required to comply with CBC Sections 11B-206.2.8, 11B-403.5, 11B-207.1 and 11B-215.3. Provide framing and anchorage design for the guard or guardrail. Submit calculation and provide structural details on roof framing plan.Provide metal canopy framing and anchorage design, calculation and details. Refer to keynote #17/A4.1.Add a page to the calculation showing the source of seismic parameters from the latest seismic map. Justify the provided seismic parameters in the calculation are correct.Provide continuous page number in the structural calculation.The structural system is not clear. Part of the calculation and details assume the existing building is an unreinforced masonry building, but part of them assume existing CMU building. Please clarify the structural system in your calculation. If you have any evidence to prove that it is an URM building, please submit evidence to verify or clarify in your calculation.Detail 8/S2.0. The masonry infill shall have sufficient structural strength to support and transfer out-of-plane wind load into the structural walls and concrete footing. Do not refer the design to architectural drawings. Provide structural design including specification of masonry, reinforcement, mortar, and positive connection to the existing exterior walls. Detail 1/S2.0, 2/S2.0:Calculation requires W8x13 for the new lintel, please clarify in the new wall opening detail.Provide positive connection at the new metal lintels to the new HSS column.Sheet S2.0. Specify new spread footing dimensions on the foundation plan. (length x width x thickness)Sheet S3.0.
