If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Sheet TS: Note on plan: Every Cannabis Business shall implement adequate ventilation system and odor control filtration measures to prevent odors from inside the cannabis facility from being detected outside the cannabis facility, to include building and the unit. A licensed Mechanical engineer shall design the system that is capable of preventing odors from inside the cannabis facility from being detected outside the cannabis facility. The design of the ventilation and filtration system shall be based on industry-specific best control technologies and best management practices to effectively mitigate cannabis odors.Environmental control systems shall be implemented to minimize and/or prevent the likelihood or mold and mildew growth and shall include a range of environmental control technologies and practices to control humidity levels, illumination, heating, cooling, air circulation, and ventilation. The system shall be compatible with odor prevention and ventilation systems to prevent cannabis odors from being detected outside the cultivation facility, while still allowing for the permittee to successfully cultivate.2nd Review Comment: Could not locate notes on the cover sheet (TS). Please provide notes on the first sheet of the plan. On the plan, please provide building area analysis complying with Chapter 5, CBC, based on building type of construction and occupancy groups. Sheet ST1.1: Provide detail for the ramp leading to the new entry. Ramp shall be accessible to persons with disabilities in compliance with 11B-405. 2nd Review Comment: Response was incomplete. Per response from the original comment, please specify maximum ramp slope and provide/show truncated dome at the landing where it crosses the vehicular area (parking). New trash enclosure: Please show/provide an accessible path of travel from the building to the trash enclosure. 2nd Review Comment: on plan, please specify accessible path of travel shall be 5% maximum slope, measured in the direction of travel, and 2% cross-slope. On the plan, please/show detectable warning where a pedestrian crosses a vehicular area. 2nd review Comment: All exterior doors leading to the parking areas shall be provided with truncated dome on the exterior side of door. Truncated dome shall not encroach into the required maneuver space. Sheet ST1.2: Accessible parking and accessible path of travel: Please coordinate with comment above and revise enlarge plan accordingly. 2nd Review Comment: Detail 2/ST1.2 – Please revise detail reference to detail 12 for truncated dome. Currently referenced to 21 was not applicable. Sheet a0.1: 2nd Review Comment: Please show/provide additional illuminated exit sign along the corridor and interior exit access door so that I can be visible and direct the occupants to exit the building the event of emergency. Sheet a0.2: Please clarify doors that open into the area of “open to below”. Two (2) or more exits or access to exits are required for the enclosed mezzanine spaces. Please coordinate and revise plan accordingly. (505.2.3)2nd Review Comment: Plan was not revised. The provided 2nd floor does not comply with section 505.2.3 for mechanical platform / mezzanine. It should consider a second floor and shall be design as second floor. Sheet a1.0: 2nd Review Comment: Please provide construction detail for new wall along gridline A and E – show new wall in relative to existing wall. Existing structural columns: Please provide detail to show separation of new wall and existing structural columns. 2nd Review Comment: Please comply. On the plan, please provide/show door landing and maneuver spaces on both side of doors (exterior and interior doors). 2nd Review Comment: On the plan, please show dimension for the required maneuver space per Section 11B-404.2.4. Elevator shaft: ElevatorLift shaft shall be protected with one-hour fire-rated walls complying with Section 713. Elevator Lift shaft must be one-hour rated door and door shall be self- or automatic-closing by smoke detection. 2nd Review Comment: Please provide the following for the one-hour shaft: Please provide detail construction for one-hour wall assembly. Provide detail to show fire-rated wall terminated at roof. Doors giving access to the shaft shall be one-hour rated door with self- or automatic-closing by smoke detection. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Sheet a1.1: Mezzanine plan Base on the first and mezzanine floor plans layout, the proposed mezzanine did not comply with Section 505. Please coordinate and revise plan to show compliance with Section 505. Otherwise, it shall consider a second story. 2nd Review Comment: Plan was not revised. Please comply with section 505 for mechanical platform and mezzanine. Otherwise, it shall be considered a second story. Plan review will continue at time of resubmittal. Provide construction details and clearly cross-reference onto the plan. 2nd Review Comment: Please comply. Sheet a.7.0: Wall Detail Wall W3, furring wall at the exterior wall: Please provide detail to show attachment of furred wall. 2nd Review Comment: Please comply. Provide construction details for furring wall and clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan. Details for wall type W5 were not provided. Please provide wall details for new irrigation tank room and garage walls. 2nd Review Comment: exterior wall of the new irrigation tank room and electrical room – For type III-B construction, exterior wall shall be 2-hour fire-rated wall. Metal stud bearing wall shall not be used for 2-hour rated wall. Please revise plan with new wall type.
