APPLICABLE CODE: 2019 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSThe applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714) 573-6100).
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
- Grading permit
- School District Compliance Certificate. A copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check
engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Scope of work. In addition to total 16022 sf for the school building, show overall building area on each level. Indicate if the exterior stairway are part of the 16022 sf. area.PC2: Cover sheet. Please update description of the scope. Please do not refer the required information.
PC3: Provide area breakdown on the cover sheet. (gross area including walls) Show area break down on each level. This is for building permit.For school fee calculation purpose, show square footage of covered and enclosed space only as assessable square footage. (Refer to school district fee handout)Please clarify the allowable area calculation on sheet A0.5.
