Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.Please update the referenced code section on sheet AS-2 to 2019 version of CBC 11B. (e.g. 1129B is obsolete.)Sheet A0.00. Clarify the location of the 1st floor restroom to be altered on plan. The submitted plan shows a new restroom is added on the first floor. If this is the case, further review, plan check comments and additional plan check fee may apply.Provide existing floor plan prior to alteration.Clarify on plan if providing or altering any drinking fountains. New drinking fountains shall be accessible and design is required on plan.Provide accessible restroom signage design and details on plan.Entrances leading to toilet rooms and bathing rooms complying with 11B-603 Toilet and Bathing Rooms shall be identified by a geometric symbol complying with 11B-703.7.2.6 Toilet and Bathing Room Geometric Symbols.Ambulatory accessible compartment:Provide and identify at least one ambulatory accessible compartment for each sex on each level. Where six or more toilet compartments are provided, or where the combination of urinals and water closets totals six or more fixtures, toilet compartments complying with Section 11B-604.8.2 shall be provided in the same quantity as the toilet compartments required to comply with Section 11B-604.8.1 (11B-213.3.1)The water closet shall be positioned with a wall or partition to the rear and to one side. The centerline of the water closet shall be 17 inches minimum to 18 inches maximum from the side wall or partition, except that the water closet shall be 17 inches minimum and 19 inches maximum from the side wall or partition in the ambulatory accessible toilet compartment specified in Section 11B-604.8.2 Ambulatory Accessible Compartments. Water closets shall be arranged for a left-hand or right-hand approach. (11B-604.2)Ambulatory accessible compartments shall have a depth of 60 inches minimum and a width of 35 inches minimum and 37 inches maximum. Revise dimensions on plan. (11B-604.8.2.1)Door shall be self-closing and shall not swing into the minimum required compartment area. Doors shall fully comply with 11B-604.8.2.2.Accessible lavatoriesProvide accessible lavatory design and detail showing fully compliance with 11B-606.END OF COMMENTS
