If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) for an appointment.Clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application: - Revise project job description on the building permit application worksheet to reflect the work to be done under the subject building permit application. - Construction drawings must clearly show all work to be done under the subject building permit application. - Delete all notes and details from drawings that are not a part of the work to be done under the subject building permit application. This includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical work that is not specifically required by the Building Code.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039) - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Sheet T1.0: Please transfer all handwritten notes onto the electronic file prior to reprinting. Occupancy groups: Restaurant with occupant load greater than 49 should be classified as group ‘A-2’ occupancy. Project Summary: Exterior – Please include the work for building façade. Sheet A0.1: For clarity, please show/identify street(s) on the site plan. Show building setback distance from property lines. Sheet A0.2: Trellis cover over the existing trash enclosure – Please clarify whether the trellis is new or existing. If new, please specify in the scope of work on sheet T1.0 and provide structural details and design. Egress Plan:Please provide an egress plan. Provide occupant load calculation. Clearly identify exit doors. Show tactile exit sign at exit doorway. A readily visible durable sign posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the main exit door stating: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THIS SPACE IS OCCUPIED”, is required. (1010.1.9.4)Sheet A2.0: Please provide/show interior furniture elevations showing dinning surface height and service counter heights. Dining surface and service counter shall be accessible to persons with disability. Please show required dimensions for the maneuver space at doors. Referenced detail 18/ADA1.1: Truncated dome – Please specify color Yellow for the truncate dome contrast color. Sheet A5.3, A6.1, A6.2, A6.0, A6.3: A5.3: Please clearly cross-reference wall sections onto the plan where it occurred so that it can be easily located. Please clearly cross-reference details onto the plan. Sheet A8.2: Restrooms: Please show 60” turning circle on the plan. Door to all gender restroom shall be identified with the symbol below: Referenced detail 2/ADA1.0: Please revise detail to show water closet located at a distance 17”-18” from adjacent wall/partition. Structural Review Comment: Due to the addition to the existing building, a soil report is required. The geotechnical investigations shall be conducted in accordance with Section 1803.2 and reported in accordance with Section 18.3.6 of the 2019 CBC.Sheet S2.0: Slab information, in additional to the referenced foundation note – Please specify slab information on the foundation plan. Sheet S3.0: Drag truss is required at grid line C, over the new addition – Please specify drag truss and drag loads on the plan. Grid line C: Please provide detail to show shear transfer at the existing portion of the building. Please clarify whether new drag truss is required (similar to detail 18/S4.1 at the new addition). Please provide detail to show new glulam beam to new post. Detail 14/S4.1: Face-mounted joist hanger – Please check connection for trusses that supporting roof equipment above. Application of load via fasteners below the neutral axis can cause a tension-perpendicular-to-grain failure in the beam. Building Façade: If new parapet are added to the existing building, structural detail and calculation are required.
