The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700).
-Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840).
Sheet A-2 & A-3:
Please show door openable (panic hardware) parts locate at 34” minimum and 44” maximum above the finish floor or ground.
On the plan, please specify the force for pushing or pulling open a door/gate shall not exceed 5 pounds.
Show minimum 10” smooth surface on the push side of the swing gate/door surface, measured from the finish ground.
Please provide plan to show level landing and maneuver space on both sides of the gate/door. Provide minimum 60” clear landing with 24” clear from the gate/door strike edge, on the pull side; and 48” minimum clear landing with 12” clear from the gate/door strike edge, on the push side.
Reminder: Final plan shall be stamped, singed, and dated by the engineer of record.
Orange County Fire Authority approval is required. Please submit plan to OCFA for review and approval.
