All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by
the Public Works Agency (647-5039)
- County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000)
- School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check
engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Sheet G1.0: Sheet Index: Please note “FOR REFERENCE ONLY” for Civil plans, landscape plans, and Equipment plans. General sheets G5.0 through G6.2: Please remove sheets off plan sets if they are not used. Sheet Index: Please note “UNDER SEPARATE REVIEW” for Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical plans. Project description: Please revise job description to include light poles and state number of proposed light pole. Please include the block wall – specify maximum height and linear foot of the proposed block wall. Sheet G3.2: Detail 16/G3.2: Please revise detail to provide Yellow color for the truncated dome. Detail 2/G3.2: Revise detail to provide 60” minimum height for wall-mounted sign. Sheet G4.0: On the plan, please show location of Occupant posting sign. Sheet G5.0 through G6.2: Please remove sheets if they are not applicable or in use. Sheet AS1.0: Please show distance setback between building and property lines. Please coordinate with Civil / Grading plans.On the plan, please clearly show location of the proposed block wall. Sheet A1.0: Window and door schedule: Please clearly reference to sheet A6.2 for window and door schedule. Note #15: Wall located adjacent to the cooking equipment – Please provide construction detail to show required clear space between combustible construction and the cooking equipment per CMC. Wall type 1C with note 18: Wall type 1C is a metal stud wall per note #18 – Referenced detail 1/A5.0 was not applicable for metal stud wall. Please coordinate and revise detail accordingly. Title 24 Energy Compliance forms Please include the Title 24 calculation on the plan for the building envelope. Lighting measures and mechanical compliance forms are reviewed under separate review. Sheet A3.0 through A3.3: Please coordinate building sections with Title 24 calculation for building envelope compliance. Structural Review Comment: Sheet S1.1: On the plan, please provide hold-down details and clearly cross-reference detail onto the plan. Sheet S1.1: Footing design as grade beams – Please revise detail to provide/show stirrup rebar. Coordinate with footing design. Please submit foundation plan and details to the geotechnical engineer for review and approval. The geotechnical engineer should provide “review” stamp on the plan for general conformance with the soil report recommendation. Sheet G1.0: Please include the roof truss as a deferred submittal item. Light poles are under this permit application. Please provide structural calculation and details for the light support (footing) and attachment. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Final plans and calculation shall be stamped, signed and dated by the engineer of record. (End of Comment)
