Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. Please call (714) 647-5830 for an appointment.Sheet A-0.1Given the unusual circumstance of switching jurisdiction from the State Fire Marshall to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA). The critical approval hinges on the approval of the smoke report by OCFA. Please remove the smoke report under the Deferred Submittal section on sheet A-0.1. I have reviewed the proposed two-hour exit passageway and the de-rating corridor on the second floor. The design mostly meets egress codeswith two corrections/clarifications (see below). Please submit the updated drawing (delta-6) along with the smoke report to OCFA for review. Should OCFA’s comments affect the mechanical or the pressurization of the stairway design, please let me know on the resubmittal. Sheet A-0.8.1The new two-hour-exit-passageway wall legend does not match between the plan and the Legend. The plan shows the black and white-hatched line whereas the Legend shows a solid black line. It appears the matching wall legend is on sheet A2.1.The door (#1114C) between Stair #1 and exit passageway indicates keynote-10. Keynote-10 states: “Accessible Automatic Door”. Door Hardware Group 16 on sheet A2.1 indicates: “90 min. stair door with automatic opening panic hardware”.Door #1114C requires to be self-closing or automatic-“closing”. Are the words “automatic opening” a typo? Is an “accessible automatic door” means the door would open with a touch pad?Additional Plan Check NumbersWe have created additional plan check numbers because separate stories and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) requires separate plan check numbers. Please see break down below:
