The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: ☒Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. ☒Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). ☐Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700). ☒Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). ☒School District Approval; and a copy of the school fee worksheet, completed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. ☐Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance. ☐Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039).Comments have been provided on drawing and calculation hard copies in relation to all comments below. SW cannot be more than 10’-0” from end of wall. Ensure all prescriptive requirements are met otherwise calculations and design will be required if further discrepancies discovered. Specify (E) foundation minimum dimensions on plan.Note to verify existing foundation occurs at existing garage door opening, else new footing to be provided and doweled into existing foundation and slab on grade. Thickened slab as shown in Detail 2B/SD1 is not adequate for prescriptive design. PC #2: Comment not addressed, existing foundation to be noted on plans to be VIF else new foundation to be added. New foundation alternative shall be provided on plan and doweled into existing foundation and slab on grade if prescriptive design is to be used. Very often existing garage doors do not have foundation and require new foundation.Detail 4 – Note existing stucco to be verified in field else new stucco required at underside of eave.Sheet SD2Existing items such as roof rafter, ridge beam, etc…, must be identified in section and details as such. It must be easily distinguishable to determine what is new or being replaced and what is existing.Additional CommentsSheet SD1 – Provide shearwall type at added shearwall along north wall.Provide nailing at typical roof sheathing note.
