Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.(Information) Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.(Information) This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.(Information) The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the school fee worksheet, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work.PLAN CHECK COMMETNS:Sheet T1.0. Please coordinate with the structural engineer to list all deferred submittals/separate permit items on the cover sheet. The Architect shall provide a detailed and complete Deferred List on the title sheet listing all items to be deferred including the structural elements (e.g. pre-fabricated trusses...)EGRESSAll occupants shall have access to two exits from the floor. (CBC Tables 1006.3.3). One exit: Single story building with maximum occupant load of 49 (A, B, E, F, M, U) and less than 75 ft maximum common path of egress travel distance to exit (see exceptions for B, F, and S).Refer to redlines on sheet A1.0. The travel distance measured from the remotest point in walk-in cooler is 80 feetwhich exceeds 75 feet common path of travel. Therefore, two means of egress from both walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer are required to the exterior of the building. Please revise plan.Refer to above comment, two Exits or Exit Access Doorways are required (CBC 1007.1.1): Exit and exit access doorways shall be separated by a distance not less than 1/2 the length (1/3 in sprinklered building) of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area to be served measured in a straight line between them.GREENRevise C-store building primary entrance design to provide covering complying with CGBC 5.407.2.2.1. 5.407.2.2.1 Exterior Door Protection Primary exterior entries shall be covered to prevent water intrusion by using nonabsorbent floor and wall finishes within at least 2 feet around and perpendicular to such openings plus at least one of the following: An installed awning at least 4 feet in depth. The door is protected by a roof overhang at least 4 feet in depth. The door is recessed at least 4 feet.ENERGYSheet M5.0 and M5.1. Energy calculation is required to review this project. For further review of the C-store building, please submit (2) copies of building envelope design in compliance with 2019 California Energy Code requirements. Incorporate each page of NRCC forms into the drawings. Note that plan check corrections may apply after completion of building envelope design review.Revise energy calculation by approved software. The application date of this permit is 3/14/2022. Revise submitted energy design to use EnergyPro 8.3 instead of EnergyPro 8.2 version. According to California Energy Commission:STRUCTURALPre-fabricated trusses (32” Red-S): Shop drawings, layout plan and calculations required to complete plan check shall be wet stamped and signed by a Registered Design Professional and must be reviewed and accepted by the Project Engineer or Architect with stamp and wet signature.Identify on sheet T1.0 if truss shop drawings are deferred under deferred submittal items or provide shop drawings by the truss manufacturer complying with this comment. Trusses (32” Red-S)– please provide the following notes on the plans: Submit two (2) sets of truss calculations and plans to the city for separate plan check. The truss calculations and plans shall include review of roof, mechanical and lateral loads (chord/strut & brace loads); also include review of top chord and bottom chord for axial + flexure between panel joints. The truss calculations and plans shall be stamped and signed (include expiration date) by a licensed civil/structural engineer.The truss plans shall be “review stamped” and signed by the Registered Design Professional of Record.A hold own (HDU14) is required at each end of the shear wall per calculation page 32 on the north shear wall. Please provide the missing hold own at the intersection of the CMU wall or provide detailed justification along the entire load path to the soils. Justify detail 6/S6.2 on 3x6 wood, anchor bolts, CMU walls and design anchorage to the concrete foundation to support 13017# vertical point load.*No redlines on the structural calculation.END OF COMMENTS
