Please call (714) 647-5830 for an appointment.Occupancy Classification – The existing occupancy group is classifiedas a Business (B) with a limitation of 49 occupants. The proposed floor plan shows that the kitchen is smaller than the original configuration while the dinner area occupies the original kitchen space. The enlargement of the dining area increases the occupant load. If the new occupant load is greater than 49, the occupancy group would be considered as an Assembly occupancy (A). The implication of that change of occupancy classification is substantial in terms of fire and life-safety requirements. Provide an occupant load calculations on the proposed floor plan in accordance with 2019 California Building Code Section 1004. If the calculated occupant load is greater than 49, provide a complete design with fire and life safety features required by an assembly group occupancy.Please obtain clearance with the Health Department.Provide a detailed scope of work on the title sheet.The Point of Sale (POS) counter shall be accessible. Provide details for the counter height, Knee and Toe clearance space in accordance with 2019 California Building Code Section 11B-306.The proposed floor plan shows Bar Counter and four chairs. Provide accessible dining surface in accordance with 2019 California Building Code Section 11B-902.What is the ‘Food Prep Area’ in front of the POS counter?Specify the doorway opening width between the kitchen and the existing office room.[The End]
