All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application:
- Revise project job description on the building permit application worksheet to reflect the work to be done
under the subject building permit application.
- Construction drawings must clearly show all work to be done under the subject building permit application.
- Delete all notes and details from drawings that are not a part of the work to be done under the subject building
permit application. This includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical work that is not specifically required by
the Building Code.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Please provide Sheet Index and provide numbering (labeling) for each sheet of plans. Handwritten notes: Please transfer handwritten notes onto the electronic file prior to printing. Please provide the following information on the cover sheet: Applicable Codes: Specify on plan, Construction shall comply with 2019 California Building Code, California Mechanical Code, California Electrical Code, California Plumbing Code, California Energy Code, and California Green Building Code. Please provide complete Site Plan showing all property lines. On the plan, please clearly show an accessible route prom the public sidewalk to the building entrance. On the plan, please show/provide accessible parking stalls and an accessible route from the accessible parking to the building primary accessible entrance. Accessible route shall be 5% maximum slope, measured in the direction of travel, 2% maximum cross-slope, and 48” minimum width. Plan shall be drawn to scale and must be legible. Note on plan: Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing are required separate permit applications and under a separate review. Floor plan: For clarity, please use different wall type (lines) to differentiate between existing walls, wall to be removed, and new walls. Please provide Wall Legend. Provide construction details for new furred out wall. Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan. Accessible restrooms: Please revise plan to show minimum 60” clear floor space for the water closet. The 60” shall be measured from the side wall to the edge of the sink. Grab bar: Please revise elevations to show grab bar mounting height measured to the top of the grab bar. Single user restroom shall be identify as All-Gender Restroom and provide with the following symbol on the door: Details shall be clearly cross-referenced onto the plan.Doors shall be accessible to the persons with disabilities. Please provide the following notes on the plan:
Door hardware
Egress doors/gates shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. (1010.1.9)
Openable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches minimum and 44 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground.
The force for pushing or pulling open a door shall be 5-lb maximum.
Operable parts shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. Provide details to show electrical switches and electrical receptacle outlets complying with Section 11B-308 for accessible reach ranges**Plan was incomplete.
